Akshay Kumar has started shooting for Raksha Bandhan with Aanand L Rai

Mumbai: Khiladi Star Akshay Kumar has kick-started the shooting of his next, Raksha Bandhan, with Aanand L Rai. The actor took to social media to announce the same. He shared a photo of himself and the filmmaker from the sets of the film. Dedicating it to his sister Alka, the actor wrote that the film is the celebration of the special bond he shares with his sister. Raksha Bandhan also stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role.

Announcing the commencement of the shooting of Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar shared a photo from the sets of the film. The picture features the actor with director Aanand L Rai. The actor dedicated the film to his sister Alka and wrote, “Growing up my sister, Alka was my first friend. It was the most effortless friendship. @aanandlrai’s #RakshaBandhan is a dedication to her and a celebration of that special bond. Day one of shoot today, need your love and best wishes (sic).”

Recently, Akshay Kumar announced that Bhumi Pednekar has been cast as the female lead in Raksha Bandhan with a photo of the two actors and Aanand L Rai.
