Odisha govt extends COVID partial lockdown till July 16: Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra

Bhubaneswar: The lockdown in the state of Odisha has been partially declared for 14 days. It will take effect on July 1 from 7 a.m. to July 14, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The night curfew will be in effect across the state from 6pm to 9am. The week-long shutdown will continue in only 10 districts under Category “B”.

During the lockdown, Category “A” stores will be open in 20 districts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in 10 other districts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. So the spa, parlor etc. will be closed.

8 a.m. to 6 p.m.: (Category- “A”) Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Devgarh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Subarnapur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boud, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Anugul, Dhenkanal and Kendujhar.

8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: (Category “b “) Districts: Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Baleshwar, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj.

Under the category “A”, the district has been cut off from public transport. Coveted buses and buses, as well as taxis, will allow a certain number of passengers. Previous guidelines for marriage, vows, funerals and other religious and social activities will remain in force.
